About

A way to reach a tradie that nobody pays to jump

Taskovery connects people who need a job done with tradespeople who can do it, across New Zealand. This page is the short version of how it works and where the money goes, because both of those are usually the last thing a marketplace tells you.

How we make money

Tradies pay us a flat monthly fee. That is the whole model.

Customers pay nothing

Not to post, not to read the replies, not to hire. There is no fee at the end and no cut of what you agree. If a page on this site ever asks a customer for money, something has gone wrong and we would like to hear about it.

Tradies pay for capacity, not for leads

A flat monthly plan sets how many jobs a tradie can run at once. It does not change with what they earn. Whether a job is worth two hundred dollars or twenty thousand, we are paid the same, which means we have no reason to push anybody toward the expensive one.

We take no commission. Not a percentage, not a booking fee, not a success fee.

We are not in your payment

The tradie invoices you and you pay them, on whatever terms the two of you agree. The money never passes through us, so we cannot hold it, delay it, or take anything out of it on the way past. What that also means is plain: if a job goes wrong, the money is between the two of you, and we say so on the terms page rather than implying a protection we do not provide.

What we actually do

Two things, and we try to do them properly

A person reads every job before a tradie sees it

Not a filter, a person. It is why a tradie who answers your job is answering something real, and it is the reason a post takes a little while to go live rather than appearing the second you press the button.

We check who a tradie says they are

Three checks: identity, a registered business, and a trade licence where the trade has one. Each badge on a profile says what it covered and what it did not, and the dates are on the profile so you can see how old the check is.

Nobody has inspected the work. A verified badge means the paperwork matched a public register on a given day. It is not a quality rating and we do not present it as one.

What each check covers

Who we are

The company behind it

Taskovery is the trading name of Trustlane Limited, a New Zealand registered company. You will see both names: Taskovery is what the service is called, Trustlane Limited is who you are contracting with. That is also why the email address and the web address still say trustlane.

We operate across New Zealand.

If you need our company number, New Zealand Business Number, or a registered office address for a formal notice, email help@trustlane.co.nz and we will give them to you. They are on the terms and privacy pages on the same basis.

Something on this site look wrong?

Tell us. Email help@trustlane.co.nz and a person reads it. If we have claimed something we cannot back up, we would rather change the page than defend it.

Need something done?

Say what it is. We work out which trade it needs and send it to the people who cover you.
